The Desmond Tutu HIV Foundation is affiliated to the University of Cape Town. The Desmond Tutu HIV Centre (DTHC), based in the Faculty of Health Sciences, is committed to the pursuit of excellence in research, treatment, training and prevention of HIV and related infections in Southern Africa.

Outlined below are some of the roles on offer:

Senior Medical Officers
MBChB Degree; registered with HPCSA, 3 – 5 years’ work experience in the clinical research environment, 2 – 3 years’ work experience in a lead role in clinical trials. Clinical Trial experience and experience with managing clinical staff (doctors and nurses) will be advantageous.

Medical Officers
MBChB Degree; registered with HPCSA, 2-3 years’ work experience in a clinical environment. Clinical Trial experience will be advantageous.

Study Co-ordinators
Matric with tertiary Degree/Diploma in health related field; registered with SANC, 2-3 years’ work experience in similar environment. Knowledge of GCP guidelines and clinical trial sites processes. Project Management and staff management experience will be advantageous.
