The Faircape Group with it’s head office in Claremont is a prestigious group that owns and manages 6 retirement/lifestyle villages in the Western Cape (Tokai, Kirstenhof, Noordhoek, Somerset West and Onrus).

An exciting opportunity for a Clinical Manager has become available. The incumbent will be responsible for overseeing all six Faircape healthcare facilities within the Western Cape. This will include meeting the needs of internal and external customers through the execution of Faircape’s strategic and operational objectives. Growth of business, quality of service and employee relations by leading, managing and coordinating all activities of the healthcares.

Duties include, but are not limited to

  • Manage the total clinical services within the Group
  • Manage all administrative policies, standard operating procedures and protocols
  • Initiating progressive business performance development through designing and implementing business strategies aligned with achieving core elements of the Group’s objectives
  • Ensure Safety, Health and Environmental (SHE), Quality and Risk principles are adhered to
  • Develop, implement and evaluate strategic plans
  • Monitor staffing levels within the Group
  • Oversee, review and update of clinical and administration policies and procedures and ensure compliance thereof
  • Oversee the adherence of all statutory requirements
  • Ensure growth of business, quality of service and employee relations by leading, managing and coordinating all healthcare facility activities
  • Driving the optimal functioning of group operations, identifying and monitoring gaps and risks and implement corrective action accordingly
  • To ensure optimum quality and maintaining of patient care standards
  • Effective relationship management with doctors, service providers, patients and staff
  • Policies and procedures formulated and implemented to ensure all patient feedback is managed and used to improve customer service
  • Customer service levels are continually monitored and managed to ensure a world class customer experience
  • Manage marketing of facility in conjunctionwith our marketing team to devise new strategies in order to grow the brand and customer awareness
  • Liaise with other medical professionals to ensure excellent relationships are maintained and fostered
  • Systems are implemented, maintained and managed to increase income
  • Lead the multiple disciplinary team in achieving excellent clinical results

Working Hours:

Normal working hours are 45 hours per week from Monday to Friday, 08h00 to 17h00.


  • Relevant medical qualification, i.e. MBChB
  • Postgraduate Business Degree, i.e. Business Administration or MBA advantageous

Experience and Knowledge:

  • Work experience in hospital administration
  • Proven leadership and operational management experience (including financial management and business planning processes) within a healthcare environment
  • Knowledge of the private healthcare industry, its challenges and role-players including understanding of relevant legislations
  • Solid understanding of healthcare procedures and regulations

Skills and Attributes:

  • Computer literate
  • Excellent relating and networking skills with good understanding of marketing strategies
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Able to perform under pressure
  • Deadline driven

Specific Requirements:

  • Drivers license and own reliable transport
  • Clear health record
  • Clear credit record
  • No criminal record
  • Solid and positive references

Salary on offer from R 60,000.00 Cost to Company per month.

This includes a 50% company contribution towards medical aid (hospital plan)
