New 3D joint ROM technology launched in SA

Therapists and other medical professionals looking to accurately measure range of motion (ROM) in patients, may benefit from the launch of the 3D Joint ROM technology in South Africa.

Developed by South African medical technology business Dynamic Body Technology in conjunction with Shemesh Health Solutions, the 3D Joint ROM technology makes use of Bluetooth sensor technology to accurately track and measure body movement in 3 dimensions in conjunction with an iPad.

Bluetooth sensors attached to the body stream real-time to an iPad, allowing for accurate measurement of movement across a variety of joints.

With technology re-shaping the way that medical practices operate, medical professionals are looking for solutions that are scalable and able to integrate into their practices. A key benefit for South African medical practices is the local presence and development team.

“We are currently rolling out the technology to a select group of medical practitioners in South Africa,” says executive director Marc Ashton.
