An acting CEO and registrar for theCouncil for Medical Schemes has been appointed by Health Minister Dr Aaron Motsoaledi‚ followin the sudden death of the' respected Dr Humphrey Zokufa in January, reports The Times.
Dr Sipho Kabane will serve in the role until the vacant CEO and registrar’s position is filled.
The report says Kabane has been with the CMS for seven months as the senior strategist and has several years’ experience in the public health sector.
Kabane said he was "committed to take the CMS and the private healthcare sector forward in my acting capacity‚ whilst the process of appointing a permanent registrar is continuing".
