The Department of Complementary Medicine at University of Johannesburg (UJ) is a registered provider of the South African Pharmacy Council (certificate registration number R10044) approved and accredited Dispensing and Compounding Course for Allied Health Professionals.
Short Learning Programme (SLP) Duration: six-month online learning
Course Breakdown: Comprised of five theory modules, a general dispensing component, and one discipline-specific module and practical for compounding for i) Homeopaths or ii) Chinese Medicine & Acupuncture.
Successful completion of the course will require an overall pass mark of 60% comprised of:
- Online module assessments
- An exit portfolio
- A final online assessment
- An on-campus compounding and dispensing practicum in September 2022.
Application and registration for the SLP opens: 1 September 2022.
The course commences online on: 3 October 2022.
A maximum of 30 candidates can be accommodated per SLP intake.
