Two years after being appointed CEO of the [b]SA National Aids Council (Sanac)[/b], Dr Fareed Abdullah is still working towards his vision of turning around the epidemic, reports the [s]Cape Argus[/s].
His hope comes from the fact that in SA there are more than 2.5m people on antiretroviral treatment. ‘That offers huge hope – but the dark side of the story is that we still have hundreds of thousands of new infections every year.
