Vaccine could help cancers respond to immunotherapy

Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinomas (PDAC) do not typically respond to immunotherapy, which limits treatment options for this cancer. But, reports [s]Health-Canal[/s] a study has found that by priming with a ther apeutic vaccine and a low dose chemotherapy combination prior to surgery, it is possible to convert PDACs into immunogenic cancers that may respond to immunotherapy.
