An employee at Thabong Clinic in the Free State is receiving counselling after being targeted with a bucket of faeces by a disgruntled patient, who was apparently irritated with the speed of service.
Provincial Health MEC Monyatso Mahlatsi “strongly condemned” the incident, reports News24.
The patient had gone to the clinic in the early hours of Thursday and was not helped as speedily as he had hoped.
“He returned the next day with a bucket full of faeces, which he poured over the head of the health worker,” the MEC added.
“After the attack, he bragged and posted …his violent and demeaning attack on Facebook.”
A criminal case has been opened.
