Political parties silent on SA’s health challenges

Less than half of the 20 political parties asked about how they would deal with key health challenges provided answers in response to a call by the Treatment Action Campaign (TAC), reports [s]Health-e[/s]. And those that did respond to its People’s Health Manifesto provided little in the way of solutions to problems such as medicine stock-outs, cervical cancer and reviving provincial AIDS councils. Parties who responded were AgangSA, Azapo, DA, FF+, IFP, Pan Africanist Movement, Patriotic Alliance and the UDM. The ANC, Cope and the EFF were among those that chose not to respond, according to TAC, which has said it will still collect late replies.
