SA Pharmacy Council’s new rules for provision of immunisation services

The SA Pharmacy Council has published rules for pharmacists who wish to provide immunisation services, such as the administration of COVID-19 or flu vaccines. The rules establish competency standards, and that the pharmacist must have completed a short course on immunisation and injection technique. Fulfilling the standards will allow them to acquire, possess, use and supply vaccines and medicines required for adjunct therapy.
