A 53-year-old woman shot dead inside her vehicle outside Chris Hani Baragwanath Academic Hospital on Tuesday was later identified as the chief oral hygienist, who had just arrived at work to start her day.
A witness said she saw two men walk towards the car and open fire. After shooting her, they walked away, reports News24.
“They meant business. They went straight for her head. She tried to drive away but her car then hit a pole and the airbags popped out.”
Gauteng health department spokesperson Motaletale Modiba said they were saddened and shocked by the incident, while SAPS spokesperson Lieutenant-Colonel Mavela Masondo said they were looking for the killers.
