Bone SA will be hosting a webinar on technological advances in allograft engineering, with special guest Prof TLP (Theo) Le Roux, veteran orthopaedic surgeon and past president of the SA Orthopaedic Association. The webinar will discuss how new advances in tissue engineering are improving bone grafting products and patient outcomes.
Prof Le Roux will discuss the use and performance of demineralised cortical bone fibres manufactured locally, for the first time, and how an updated sterilisation technique is improving the tensile strength of ligaments and tendons for transplantation.
