Position: Clinical Risk Management Specialist
Location: Flexible (Cape Town/Pretoria/Johannesburg preferred)

Main purpose of the job
• To achieve EthiQal’s vision of being the leading provider of professional indemnity solutions through the assessment of clinical and practice risks and proactive clinical and practice risk management
Location
• EthiQal is based on a distributed work model which provides employees with the freedom to work from home, where desired
Key performance areas
• Assessment of individual practitioner’s medicolegal risk, taking into consideration clinical and practice management risks
• Sound understanding and implementation of EthiQal’s underwriting methodology and guidelines
• Clinical review of individual claims
• Support of operational work processes to ensure streamlined client services
• Analysis of notifications to the insurer to identify risk indicators
• Implementation of risk reduction initiatives
Required minimum education and training
• MBCHB
Required minimum work experience
• 7+ years in clinical risk management
Desirable additional education, work experience and personal abilities
• Post-graduate qualification in ethics and/or medical law
• Previous underwriting and/or insurance industry experience
• Analytical skills
• Good interpersonal skills, ability to work in a team and excellent verbal and written communication
• Attention to detail, Professional, Affable, Discreet, Self-Motivated, Authentic, Eager to Learn
