Exercise as medicine should be prescribed for older women

Women would benefit from being prescribed exercise as medicine, according to a [b]Queensland University of Technology[/b] study that revealed moderate to high intensity activity is essential to reducing the risk of death in older women. [s]Science Daily[/s] quotes Professor Debra Anderson, from QUT’s [b]Institute of Health and Biomedical Innovation[/b], as saying that a five-year research review ‘clearly shows moderate to vigorous intensity activity can have mental and physical health benefits, particularly when part of broader positive health changes.’
