The Natmed review of the medico-legal handed down in 2018 paints a more nuanced picture of what has been described as a ‘medico-legal litigation crisis’.
The review is of all of the South African judgments of 2018 with a summary of facts, findings and commentary. It represents South African law as at 31 December 2018.
The survey covers: limited private healthcare sector judgments; birth injuries; lost medical records; and harm does not always lie where it falls
