US system ‘underperforms’

According to a new performance analysis conducted by the Commonwealth Fund, the US health care system consistently underperforms, despite being the most expensive in the world. The US ranks last out of 10 other nations, as it has done in previous years’ studies. Overall, the study showed the UK at the top followed by Switzerland, Sweden, Australia, Germany and Netherlands (tied), New Zealand and Norway (tied), France, Canada and then the US.
