The Gauteng Department of Health has sounded the alarm after a raid uncovered the illegal sale of scheduled medication at several establishments in the province.
The medication was found stocked on shelves at shops that did not have the required licences, reports EWN.
Provincial Health spokesperson Motalatale Modiba said the drugs can degrade and become toxic over time, and that consumers who bought these medications were rising their lives.
