The [b]SA National Health Laboratory Service[/b] is owed so much money by provincial governments in [b]KwaZulu-Natal[/b] and [b]Gauteng[/b] that it has stopped courier services that transport blood samples from clinics in KwaZulu-Natal to laboratories. It is in ‘last-minute discussions’ with Gauteng to prevent courier services being stopped. The two provinces together owe almost R4bn. The other seven provinces are paying their bills.
