Out on a limb: A plea for help

Good day

I read a article in MedicalBrief about a low-cost prosthetic foot that mimics natural walking. In the article it was indicated that Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) engineers have developed a simple, low-cost, passive prosthetic foot that they can tailor to an individual and could cost considerably less than existing products.

I searched for the institute with no luck. I would like to know if i can be able to buy my mom a left limb which was amputated because of diabetic. So far, the artificial one which I have enquired is very expensive.

Please help me find my mom an affordable leg – she is diabetic and I think she deserves it after the pain she went through. Her left leg is cut below the knee.

She is in her early 50s residing in Limpopo. The most painful thing is that she had eye operation and she is walking in a walking ring from the hospital and is very difficult to find her an inexpensive leg. Please help.
