Recent reports on deaths following traditional circumcisions have made many think twice about following the age-old custom. They are instead opting to be circumcised at [b]Department of Health[/b] clinics that are partnering with the [b]Centre for HIV and Aids Prevention Studies (CHAPS)[/b] to provide medical male circumcision.
Male circumcision has become a recommended HIV-prevention strategy since three clinical trials, one of which was also held in [b]Orange Farm[/b], showed that MMC could reduce men’s HIV by as much as 60%.
