A routine visit by the Health Professions Council of SA (HPCSA) to a medical practice in Mahikeng led to the arrest of Valery Sakidi Tshibanda, who appeared in the Mmabatho Magistrate’s Court this week charged with contravening the Health Professions Act.
“It emerged the accused was treating patients without being registered with the HPCSA,” said Hawks spokesperson Captain Tlangelani Rikhotso.
TimesLIVE reports that Tshibanda was released on R2 000 bail and the case was postponed for further investigation.
