The Department of Health has renewed its calls for all eligible South Africans to have Covid-19 booster shots, with spokesperson Foster Mohale saying they are now available at active vaccination sites for those wanting protection against the dominant and evolving Omicron variant.
Mohale said citizens 50 and older would be eligible for five vaccine doses, while those between 18 and 49 would receive four doses of either the J&J or Pfizer vaccine. The doses would be administered six months apart, reports News24.
