Consulting Cardiologist – Hibiscus Hospital

Hibiscus Hospital is a growing independently owned private hospital Group. Established in 1990 from humble beginnings, we have situated in Port Shepstone a multi-disciplinary acute 170 bed with 4 theatres (Inclusive of a 20 day beds and 2 theatres), on the magical South Coast of Kwa-Zulu Natal.

We also opened on 20 April 2020, amidst COVID-19, our newly developed multi-disciplinary 54 bed and 2 theatres hospital located in Cato Ridge, between Pietermaritzburg and Hillcrest.

We are in the process of completing our development in Scottburgh, which will consist of 20 days beds and 2 theatres and 20 sub-acute beds.

The group will be providing the opportunity for various specialists to establish their private practice.   Currently we are looking for a Cardiologist in Port Shepstone.

The opportunities have been carefully evaluated by the hospital given the expanding population in the catchment area and growth of the hospital facilities.

The hospital community includes a well-established multidisciplinary team and this individual will be supported by several professional colleagues.

The specialist will be provided with generous practice establishment support and relocation costs.

The application process requires the submission of a brief resume including contactable references from professional colleagues – seniors and peers, proof of qualifications and registration with the HPCSA.

The initial reviews will include a telephonic discussion followed by a virtual meeting with the hospital selection committee.

Should this prove successful – the hospital will host the individual for an in person visit and tour to meet the hospital management and professional staff.

Any interested specialists can contact Alison at specialists@hph.co.za for further information.
