Eastern Cape doctor shot and killed

Police are searching for four people who shot and killed a doctor inside his surgery in Gqeberha last Wednesday night.

Police spokesperson Captain Andre Beetge said that four armed men entered the premises at about 7pm, and shot the victim, Bantu Noqekwa, in the head.

The motive is unknown, reports News24, but apparently, a robbery had taken place on the same night at another doctor’s rooms in the same area, although the victim’s life was spared in that case.
